The successful applicant will meet one of the following criteria:

 

1. Education/Experience:
   1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from any accredited postsecondary institution; and,
   2. A minimum of twelve (12) credit hours in accounting coursework from any accredited postsecondary institution; and,
   3. A minimum of four (4) years’ work experience primarily in accounting or finance, confirmed by the district of employment; or
   4. A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in finance in a local school district, confirmed by the district of employment; and,
   5. Willingness to become fully certified through the Kentucky Department of Education as a Finance Officer.
2. Full certification as Director of Finance, issued by the Kentucky Department of Education.

 

The position will be paid based on the certified salary schedule for 240 days, and it will be advertised as both a certified and a classified position.

• The classified candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree will be paid as a Rank 2 and years of experience. The classified candidate with a Master’s Degree will be paid as a Rank One and years of experience.  
• The certified candidate will be paid in accordance with the certified salary schedule, according to level of education and years of experience.
